Another family Christmas gathering was coming to a conclusion; my stomach was brimming with meat, alcohol and the fatigue that only comes with traversing through relative’s conversations, as my cousin asked me ‘Do you want to be famous?’ Fair question I believe, after all I’m a comedian, been on the telly a bit and probably now have enough clout to meet one of the Brand Power girls. Congratulations to Denise Scott who has taken home the 2011 Helpmann Award for Best Comedy Performer.
Denise won the award for her show ‘Denise Scott – Regrets’. This is the same show which earnt Denise this year’s prestigious Melbourne Comedy Festival Director’s Award.
Spicks and Speck-tacular – The Finale announced
